Ammar Idlibi, DMD

Dr. Ammar Idlibi received his dental degree from the University of Connecticut School Of Dental Medicine which is one of the most prestigious dental schools in the country. He completed a two year post-graduate program in pediatric dentistry at Tufts University school of Dental Medicine and received his certificate of specialty in Pediatric Dentistry at Tufts in 1992. The program that Dr. Ammar attended at Tufts University is one of the strongest specialty training programs in the U.S. with special emphasis on behavior management and early treatment of malocclusion (orthodontics).

After completing the Pediatric Dentistry program at Tufts, he also spent three years of fellowship at the Department of Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics at the University Of Connecticut School Of Dental Medicine. During his fellowship years, he participated in teaching dental students and pediatric residents in addition to direct patient care at Griffin Hospital and Burgdorf Dental Clinic in Hartford, CT. He has also completed numerous continuing education courses in Orthodontics and has extensive experience in early treatment of malocclusion, bio-progressive therapy and full orthodontic treatment for adolescents.

He then became Board Certified as a Diplomate by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry in 1994 and was re-certified by the same Board in 2004 (only one-third of the country’s pediatric Dentists are successful in getting Board certified).  He is now a Fellow and an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Ammar has operating room privileges at Connecticut Children Medical Center, the Hospital of Central Connecticut, and Bristol Hospital where he treated many young children with extensive dental needs under general anesthesia.

He is also the official Pediatric Dentist for the YMCA Camp Chase and participates in many community service activities for children’s oral health.

Alesia Burge, D.M.D.


Dr. Alesia Burge completed her undergraduate (Bachelor's degree in Biology) and graduate education (Master's degree in Public Health) at the University of Connecticut. She received her dental degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts in 2010. While in dental school, she received the prestigious Horace Wells award. Dr. Burge has diverse clinical experience in comprehensive oral health care, treatment planning, general practice dentistry including pediatric and prosthodontic dentistry. She strongly believes in high quality of care and maintaining a high standard of excellence. She is committed to patient education and working closely with patients to create and maintain beautiful, healthy smiles. Dr. Burge is a member of the American Dental Association and continuously strives to stay up to date in dental treatment modalities and technology by attending dental conferences and by taking continuing education courses.

Dr. Burge has been married for ten years. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, trying different cultural cuisines, hiking and travelling.

Silviu Barzoi, D.D.S.


Dr. Barzoi received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Stony Brook University in Long Island, New York graduating with Magna Cum Laude and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the world-renowned New York University.

Dr. Barzoi worked as a Navy Dental Corps Officer honing his clinical skills and furthering his dental education with course taught at the Naval Post Graduate School, a part of the famous Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD.

Dr. Barzoi has extensive training in all phases of dentistry and keeps up with the latest advances in dental materials and procedures. From non-invasive and drill less cavity treatment procedures to computer aided, designed and manufactured all ceramic crown and esthetic veneer restorations, root canals performed with endodontic microscope and utilizing the latest technology and materials, removable or fixed, tooth or implant supported dentures, atraumatic simple or surgical extractions including symptomatic wisdom teeth.

Dr. Barzoi has the experience and compassionate nature to effectively and predictably treat patients of all ages. Dr. Barzoi is married, has two children and loves spending time with his family and dog doing all sorts of outdoor activities.
