Dr. Ammar Idlibi received his dental degree from the University of Connecticut School Of Dental Medicine which is one of the most prestigious dental schools in the country. He completed a two year post-graduate program in pediatric dentistry at Tufts University school of Dental Medicine and received his certificate of specialty in Pediatric Dentistry at Tufts in 1992. The program that Dr. Ammar attended at Tufts University is one of the strongest specialty training programs in the U.S. with special emphasis on behavior management and early treatment of malocclusion (orthodontics).
After completing the Pediatric Dentistry program at Tufts, he also spent three years of fellowship at the Department of Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics at the University Of Connecticut School Of Dental Medicine. During his fellowship years, he participated in teaching dental students and pediatric residents in addition to direct patient care at Griffin Hospital and Burgdorf Dental Clinic in Hartford, CT. He has also completed numerous continuing education courses in Orthodontics and has extensive experience in early treatment of malocclusion, bio-progressive therapy and full orthodontic treatment for adolescents.
He then became Board Certified as a Diplomate by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry in 1994 and was re-certified by the same Board in 2004 (only one-third of the country’s pediatric Dentists are successful in getting Board certified). He is now a Fellow and an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Ammar has operating room privileges at Connecticut Children Medical Center, the Hospital of Central Connecticut, and Bristol Hospital where he treated many young children with extensive dental needs under general anesthesia.
He is also the official Pediatric Dentist for the YMCA Camp Chase and participates in many community service activities for children’s oral health.
Jaimie M. Vassiliou, D.M.D.

Dr. Jaimie Vassiliou is a native of Bristol Connecticut, graduated from Bristol Central High School, and currently resides in Bristol. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of Connecticut where she graduated Cum Laude. She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree from the University of Connecticut School Of Dental Medicine where she received multiple scholarships including the Piergrossi Scholarship Award for academic achievement in dental scholastics. After dental school, she completed her 3-year Orthodontics residency program at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine where she received her certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.
Dr. Vassiliou shows great interest in community service that aims to increase access to dental care in underserved communities and volunteered heavily with the Special Olympics. She also served as a student co-director of Migrant Farm Workers Dental Clinic, a free dental clinic for migrant farm workers across Connecticut.
Dr. Vassiliou loves working with patients of all ages and has a true passion for orthodontics. She is strongly committed to achieving treatment excellence for each and every patient and ultimately strives to create a fun and positive experience for everyone. Outside of the office, Dr. Vassiliou spends most of her free time with her friends and family, especially her two young nephews. She also enjoys cooking, bike riding, and swimming.
